Renny Bailey has served the Body of Christ for more than 30 years.
She has ministered in various roles, including staff pastor, women’s ministry leader, and conference speaker, both in the United States and abroad, in Cambodia and Zambia.
In 2015, Renny was ordained through the Oklahoma School of Ministry, further affirming her calling to serve and equip the Body of Christ.
Additionally, Renny holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which has provided her with a diverse range of experiences. Before entering ministry, she worked in hospital settings, adult group homes, home healthcare, and hospice care, and served for five years as a special education nurse. Renny continues to draw on these skills and experiences in caring for those she ministers to.
Renny also earned a two-year Certification in Soul Care through the Soul Care Institute. This retreat-based program positioned her for deeper transformation and greater strides toward wholeness in Christ. It also equipped her with a strong foundation for walking alongside others in their own journey toward spiritual and emotional wholeness.
A significant part of Renny’s ministry centers on spiritual care—coming alongside those who have experienced hardship or brokenness. Drawing on her own journey of deep transformation in Christ, she compassionately offers support and guidance, always pointing others toward the lasting hope found in Him.
For more than thirty years, Renny has also invested in mentoring young women, many of whom she continues to support and guide today. Through this ministry, she has encouraged countless women to grow in faith, confidence, and purpose.
Renny strives to encourage individuals in every season of life. Her passion lies in inspiring others to persevere and remain steadfast on their journey. Her heart is to see lives transformed through the power of God’s Word and the work of the Holy Spirit. She longs to see believers strengthened, renewed, and equipped to fulfill their God-given purpose.
Renny and her husband, Dan, joined their families thirty-four years ago and have been blessed with six adult children, one son-in-law, three daughters-in-law, and fourteen grandchildren.
Founded in 2023, Taking Hold Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established by Renny Bailey and rooted in Philippians 3:12 (NIV) —
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”
Taking Hold Ministries exists to inspire and equip believers to passionately pursue Christ and to walk in the fullness of their calling. Through Spirit-led teaching, mentoring, and ministry events, the heart of this work is to see lives transformed, faith strengthened, and the body of Christ encouraged to “press on” toward deeper intimacy with Jesus and greater fruitfulness in His Kingdom.
Our mission is to equip and strengthen the body of Christ through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and the truth of God’s Word, bringing encouragement and empowerment to finish strong.
