Week 6: RESET to Surrender
“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” —Psalm 27:14
Waiting is hard. We want answers, movement, or something we can do to move things forward. But often, God invites us into something deeper—not more effort, but surrender. Psalm 27:14 reminds us that waiting isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s where strength grows, where courage takes root, and where we learn to trust that God is at work—even when we can’t see it.
This RESET is deeply personal for me. I’ve waited 36 years for God to fulfill a vision I believe He gave me for this season. Honestly, the wait hasn’t gotten easier.
Maybe you’ve experienced a season like that too—where waiting feels endless and surrender feels deeper than you expected. Where you’ve prayed, trusted, and held on… yet the answer hasn’t come the way you hoped. In these moments, surrender becomes more than just a word—it becomes a daily choice. A quiet, steady decision to trust God’s heart, even when His timing is unclear.
Waiting like this isn’t wasted. God is not absent during the delay. He is present, working in ways we cannot yet see—strengthening our faith, shaping our hearts, and preparing us for what’s ahead.
It might mean letting go of your timeline—stopping the push to make things happen on your own. It could also mean releasing your expectations, your “how it should look,” and even your frustration.
It’s in the small, quiet choices—pausing before you act, praying instead of worrying, trusting instead of controlling—that surrender begins to take hold.
Surrender doesn’t remove the waiting, but it changes how we experience it. It shifts our focus from the clock to the One who holds all time. In that shift, we find courage and strength we can’t produce on our own—strength that leads us directly to the hope of resurrection.
May you have the courage to trust God in the waiting—and the peace to rest there.
